Cooperstown Medical Transport (CMT) is a privately owned company based in Cooperstown, New York. It was founded in 1980 by Margaret McGown and Mark Zeek. It started as a single ambulance operation focused on resident to hospital and emergency hospital to hospital transfers. The company evolved to provide Paramedic level care 24 hours a day and staffs Advance Life Support ambulances in the three counties it services; Delaware, Chenango and Otsego. The sister company, Catskill Camp Services, provides medical coverage for Cooperstown Dreams Park.

Ground Operations
CMT's primary focus is critical care transfer, however, over the past few years they have started responding to an increasing number of 911 calls. The company now operates 14 ambulance rigs and one First Response vehicle. The company also employs over one hundred people of varying medical qualifications. These range from EMT-Paramedics, EMT- Critical Care Technicians, EMT-Basics, to Emergency Medical Dispatchers and ambulance maintenance staff.

Catskill Camp Services
Catskill Camp Services runs an infirmary at the Cooperstown Dreams Park that is operated 24 hours a day by certified EMT's and registered nurses. The Cooperstown Dreams Park is a tournament baseball camp that hosts an average of 1200 twelve-year-olds for thirteen weeks every summer. In addition for caring for the children, there is medical coverage for family members of campers, guests, umpires and camp employees.
Additional Services Provided
Cooperstown Medical Transport provides medical coverage at two motocross tracks: Unadilla Valley Sports Center and Thunder Ridge Cycle Center. They also provide coverage at the NY Safety Track, a performance driver training track.
Emergency Services During Tragedy
Cooperstown Medical Transport assisted FDNY in 2001 during the World Trade Center tragedy. In June 2006 and again in September 2011, they provided emergency assistance to those affected by flooding in Binghamton, NY. In September 2006, they traveled to Sabine County Hospital in Texas for three weeks in response to Hurricane Rita.
Expansion
CMT plans to develop a Mobile Integrated Healthcare Services in their three county area. This development will act in tandem with the Federal Affordable Care Act and will expand the capabilities of Emergency Medical Services.
